WILDWOOD POLICE DETECTIVE MATT MAHONEY JOINS PRESTIGIOUS HIGHWAY PATROL WHEEL SCHOOL

The City of Wildwood is proud to recognize Detective M. Mahoney for his recent achievement in successfully completing the prestigious and highly demanding Philadelphia Police Department Highway Patrol Wheel School—one of the most rigorous motorcycle certification programs in the region.

Detective Mahoney not only completed this elite training but did so with an outstanding 100% rating, reflecting his exceptional skill, discipline, and commitment to excellence. The Highway Wings he earned represent far more than technical mastery; they symbolize the qualities expected of a Motor Officer—professionalism, integrity, character, precision, and the highest standard of appearance and safety.

Detective Mahoney will continue his work within the Wildwood Police Department’s Detective Division, while also receiving a temporary duty assignment to the WPD Motorcycle Unit on an as-needed basis.
