Wildwood is a proud member of the Coastal Coalition’s Program for Public Information (PPI), joining over a dozen Jersey Shore communities to enhance flood awareness and preparedness. Through this initiative, Wildwood maintains an active role in FEMA’s Community Rating System (CRS), giving local residents a 25% reduction in flood insurance premiums.

To stay informed and equipped for coastal flooding, we encourage all residents and property owners to explore these trusted resources:

  • New Jersey Coastal Coalition (NJCC): Offers comprehensive flood safety guidelines, expert updates, and community resilience strategies. Visit njcoastalcoalition.com.

  • New Jersey Flooding Institute (NJFI): Features detailed flood maps, preparedness checklists, and guidance tailored to local conditions. See njflood.info.

  • NJCC Linktree: One-stop access to NJ Coastal Coalition resources, including flood alerts, preparedness guides, videos, and program updates. Visit here.

  • City of Wildwood Coastal Coalition: The City has added a resource page to provide updates. This is not a substitute for signing up for Code Red for emergency notifications.

We also recommend tuning into Tidal Flooding Talk, NJCC’s weekly webcast (Tuesdays at 7 PM), where experts break down current flood risks, weather forecasts, and mitigation tactics.

By collaborating with the NJCC and NJFI, Wildwood continues to prioritize safety, resilience, and proactive flood management for our community.
