Commissioner of Public Safety Steve Mikulski reminds all residents, visitors, and second homeowners that Wildwood's parking fees (via ParkMobile) are in effect every day during the season. Below is your full parking guide — permits, EV charging, beach parking, and more.
Parking Options in Wildwood
ParkMobile Street Parking
ParkMobile is available east of New Jersey Avenue. Most other areas in Wildwood offer free street parking. ParkMobile does not accept coins — payment must be made via the ParkMobile app.
Note: Veterans with Purple Heart license plates park for free.
Make sure you're in the right spot to avoid any issues. The City operates specific parking zones that are clearly marked with zone numbers starting with the prefix “38”. The City is not responsible for erroneous charges, tickets, or refunds.
Before you start your parking session:
Double-check your surroundings to confirm you're not parked in a privately owned lot. Private lots are not managed by the City of Wildwood and follow separate rules.
Verify the zone number begins with “38” to ensure it falls under City jurisdiction.
When entering your parking details, accuracy is key. Be sure to correctly input:
Your license plate number
Vehicle information
The zone number
Your desired parking duration
Mistakes or incomplete entries can lead to parking citations, which are unfortunately non-refundable. So take a moment to confirm everything is correct before hitting “submit.”
Baker Avenue Beach Parking – 4WD Only - June 14 - September 7
Trucks and SUVs with 4-wheel drive may park directly on the beach at Baker Avenue. Passenger cars and non-4WD vehicles are prohibited.
Daily Fees:
Monday through Thursday $10.00
Friday through Sunday $20.00
Events & Holidays $25.00 (may be closed some event days)
Hours of Operation: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (subject to change for special events). Vehicles must park by 4:30 PM. All vehicles must vacate parking by 6:00 PM or they will be towed and ticketed.

Handicap Parking
Vehicles with handicap placards or plates must still pay the ParkMobile fee. The app provides reminders and time extensions to help avoid violations.
Electric Vehicle Charging in Wildwood
Charging stations:

4500 New Jersey Avenue
Charging Rates:
Level 2: $0.48 per kWh
Level 3 (Fast): $0.52 per kWh
After-Charge Rule:
Once fully charged, you have 15 minutes to move your vehicle. A $10/hour fee applies after that.
No gas vehicles or non-charging EVs may park in these spots. Violators may be fined or towed.

Wildwood Beach Taxi - June 14 - September 7
The Beach Taxi travels the full length and width of Wildwood’s beach.
Operating Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM (weather permitting)
Fare: $5 per ride per adult | Kids under 5 ride free with a parent
10-Ride Pack: $45

Rules & Reminders
No Trailers or Campers Trailers, RVs, and campers are not allowed to park on city streets. Use private lots.
