Here's a quick breakdown so you stay compliant and avoid fines:

Designated Parking Area

  • Unload passengers at 3501 Atlantic Avenue.

  • Then, proceed to Byrne Community Center (401 W. Youngs Ave) to get your permit.

  • No permit = no parking. Buses without permits must leave the city.

Permit Requirements

  • Permits must be applied for at least 10 days in advance.

  • Must be displayed on the front windshield.

  • Permits are only valid for the calendar year—no refunds, but date changes are allowed within the same year.

Fees

  • The fee for all passenger transportation motor bus, commercial truck or other vehicle transporting passengers for hire during the regular season:

  • a. In-season (no parking provided by city): Fifty ($50.00) dollars for each day or part of a day, from July 1st through September 15th of each year.

  • b. In-season (with parking at city-approved location): One hundred ($100.00) dollars for each day or part of a day, from July 1st through September 15th of each year.

  • c. Off-season (no parking provided by city): Twenty-five ($25.00) dollars for each day or part of a day, May 1st through June 30th of each year.

  • d. Off-season (with parking at city-approved location): Fifty ($50.00) dollars for each day or part of a day, May 1st through June 30th of each year.

  • e. No permit fee is necessary from September 15th through April 30th of the following year.

  • f. No refunds will be issued for unused permits. If a date change is requested for a permit already issued, the City will accommodate the request but only if the new date is during the same calendar year when the permit was originally issued.

Off-Season Bus Parking

No bus parking permit is required between September 15 through April 30 of each year, provided that any passenger transportation bus, commercial truck or other vehicle transporting passengers for hire to the city does not park on city streets.

Fines

  • $50/day in addition to unpaid permit fees for violations.

Engine Rules

  • Engines must be turned off while parked and during loading/unloading.
