WILDWOOD, NJ – The City of Wildwood is moving forward with a project to replace the ADA pedestrian ramp connecting East Rio Grande Avenue to the Boardwalk, advancing the City’s vision for greater accessibility.

The new timber-and-aluminum, multi-switchback ramp will be constructed in a style that honors the historic integrity of the 100-year-old Boardwalk. Located at a key entry point, the East Rio Grande Avenue project supports Wildwood’s broader goals of fostering a more inclusive community while enhancing public safety and quality of life. It also complements the City’s multi-year, multi-million-dollar Boardwalk reconstruction initiative.

The ramp project is part of the City’s Small Cities Public Facilities application, prepared by Triad Associates of Vineland. Over the past 47 years, Triad has helped secure more than $1.7 billion in funding for municipalities and agencies.

Engineering services are being provided by Colliers Engineering & Design.

Construction is expected to be completed during the upcoming winter or spring.
