12/8/21 DECLARED CAPRI MILLS DAY


December 9, 2021 – Wildwood, NJ – The Commissioners of the City of Wildwood declared Wednesday, December 08, 2021, as Capri Mills Day at the Board of Commissioners meeting the same night.


Mills, a summertime North Wildwood resident and senior at Shawnee High School, is author of a paranormal thriller, “Shore Blood,” which is set on the Five Mile Island – The Wildwoods. According to the book’s bio, Mills wrote the book at age fifteen during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.


In addition to being a new author, Mills is a member of the National Honor Society, cross country, track and swim teams. She has collected and donated over 5,000 books to the One Bright Ray Community School in Philadelphia which allowed the school to establish a lending library.


Mayor Byron said, “Capri embodies the leadership qualities of an all-American girl. She’s so accomplished at such a young age; I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her. She’s simply remarkable.”


Capri’s book is available on Amazon and with other book retailers. The fiction-based thriller sees the vampire heroine and her ghost dog fighting off bad vampires in a desolate wintertime shore town.
