Wildwood, NJ - August 2, 20022
Whereas, John Lynch holds the position of Director of Sales and Entertainment for the Wildwoods Convention Center, where he has been responsible for generating over $50 million dollars in economic impact to the Wildwoods, at the same time affording him the opportunity to focus on his many philanthropic efforts for the youth of our community in his private life; and
WHEREAS, John has tirelessly served the Wildwoods community through his extensive volunteerism efforts and has played an important role in the overall economic impact and growth of the community; and
WHEREAS, John founded the Lunch with Lynch Foundation, which is a local charitable foundation built on the desire to enrich the lives of children in the greater Wildwood community through education opportunities in and out of the classroom environment; and
WHEREAS, John is also a member of Cape May County Special Services Educational Foundation, Wildwood Public Schools Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee, past president of the United Way of Cape May County, past president of the Greater Wildwood Optimist club, a 10 year member of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, along with numerous other charitable organizations, their causes and programs; and
Whereas, we, as a community, take this opportunity to publicly honor John Lynch as a true Ambassador of the Wildwoods and we are grateful for his commitment to the city and this island.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by virtue of the authority vested in us as Mayor and Commissioners of the City of Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey, declare throughout the City of Wildwood, August 02, 2022 as
“John Lynch Day”
