Fire Code Office conducts all
inspections on Life, Hazard, Non-Life Hazard and Permit uses. The Municipal Fire Division is comprised of 18 firefighters and officers working on four shifts. All personnel are trained to a minimum of Firefighter Level I, and NJ EMT – B, and Fire Inspector. A career Fire Chief heads the department and a Captain is assigned to the Division of Fire Inspections and Code Enforcement. During the busier summer months each shift is supplemented with 2 additional personnel. A list of on-call personnel is maintained to cover time off and special events as needed.
